Toronto: Canada’s Most International City

A diverse and fast-paced city with neighborhoods, food, and easy day trips.

Flying into Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), I took the UP Express train into Union Station — fast, clean, and far easier than driving. Toronto is not about one central attraction — it’s about neighborhoods. I stayed near King West, which is ideal for restaurants and nightlife. From there, I walked or used transit to explore:

· Distillery District (historic, pedestrian-friendly)

· Queen Street West (shops and cafés)

· Harbourfront along Lake Ontario The CN Tower is worth visiting for the view, though it’s more of a one-time experience. Toronto’s strength is food. I had:

· Asian fusion downtown

· Italian in Little Italy

· Casual brunch in Queen West A great day trip is Niagara Falls (1.5 hours away), though going early helps avoid crowds. What I’d do differently: Spend more time exploring smaller neighborhoods.
