Costa Rica: Nature, Wildlife, and Movement

Costa Rica is about ecosystems, not cities. Flying into San José (SJO), I rented a car — distances are short on a map but slow in reality. I split time between:

· Arenal (volcano + hot springs)

· Monteverde (cloud forest)

· Pacific Coast (beaches) Each offers something completely different. Wildlife is everywhere — monkeys, birds, and more. Next time I may take up one of my friends who bought a house there and is more than willing to rent it out for a week. Many other colleagues have bought a place and plan to move there full-time in a few years. What I’d do differently: Spend more time in fewer regions.
